@kimaidou - According to a few posts on the openmoko hardware mailing lists it looks as though it is in fact a hardware problem. It's a shame and this bug has made my Freerunner a pretty expensive paper weight until they work out a fix. There has been some reports on a hardware mod that may help the buzzing but it requires some advanced soldering skills. Here's a link to the initial post which describes it being a hardware issue. And here's a recent thread regarding the GSM buzz. If you want to following up on the issue I recommend subscribing to the hardware mailing list.

Hi !
I am desesperately searching the internet to find a fix against the buzz issue (other end person). I have not found anything which definitely says it is a hardware or a soft ware issue. If it is the former, hughhhh, it is a shame. If it is the latter, I can wait.

Just in case : have you found a solution yet ?
